A and B start from the same point and at the same time with speeds $15$ km/h and $12$ km/h respectively, find the distance between A and B after $6$ hours if both move in the same direction.

Same direction

Given

Speed of A $= 15 k m / h$

Speed of B $= 12 k m / h$

Time $= 6$ hours

Hence,

Distance covered by $A = 15 \times 6$

$= 90 k m$

Distance covered by B $= 12 \times 6$

$= 72 k m$

Now, the distance between A and B after $6$ hours if both move in same direction is calculated as follows

Distance covered by A – Distance covered by B $= 90 k m - 72 k m$

$= 18 k m$

Hence, the distance between A and B after $6$ hours if both moves in the same direction are $18$ km
